Not to be confused with the 25th anniversary edition released later on, which really was a “special” edition (from a DVD point of view). In July 2007, this DVD was one of 8 discs re-released in the UK with different cover artwork (in all cases, the discs and their contents were unchanged). The other DVDs which received the same treatment were Spearhead from Space, Genesis of the Daleks, The Hand of Fear, Earthshock, Revelation of the Daleks, Remembrance of the Daleks and The Movie. Cover blurb: Someone is taking the Doctor’s past selves out of time and space, placing them in a vast wilderness — a battle arena with a sinister tower at its centre. As the various incarnations of the Doctor join forces they learn they are in the Death Zone on their home world of Gallifrey, fighting Daleks, Cybermen, Yeti, the Master... and a devious Time Lord traitor who is using the Doctor and his companions in order to discover the ancient secrets of Rassilon, the first and most powerful ruler of Gallifrey.
